Experience Kyoto's traditional culture in the comfort of your own home.

Enjoy Kyoto's wagashi culture at home once again. Here's an encore presentation of the "Kyoto Craftsmen Workshop" that you all participated in. You learned from Mr. Takaie, the 5th generation head of Shioyoshiken, about the world of wagashi, created with refined measurements and careful handiwork that brings out the best in the ingredients. We hope you will once again experience the joy of touching Kyoto's traditional culture with all five senses in your daily tea time, just as you did that day from the comfort of your own home.

Juraku

Our signature confection, "Juraku," is characterized by its unadorned, rustic beauty, a striking contrast to a magnificent castle. The dough is generously made with wasanbon sugar syrup, giving it a moist and unique flavor. Inside, it is filled with a smooth "koshi-an" (strained bean paste) specially prepared for this confection. While reflecting on history, please savor the elegant harmony of the dough and bean paste, a tradition passed down since our founding.

Lightly roasted hojicha

This is a lightly roasted hojicha made from the stems of sencha, roasted with far-infrared rays, leaving some green color. The refreshing taste and aroma unique to Karigane pleasantly complements the moist texture of Juraku's dough and the flavor of its bean paste. We deliver a rich Kyoto tea time where sweets and tea harmonize.
