「いぱだだをたしなむ。展」出展のお知らせ

Exhibition Announcement: "Enjoying the Art of Ipadada"

The "Ipadada wo Tashinamu" exhibition by Natsujiro Shoten is being held again this year.
This exhibition is a touring event, visiting three locations: Tokyo, Aomori, and Kagawa.

Whole Love Kyoto is exhibiting "HANAO SHOES".
You can choose and combine kogin-sashi hanao (thongs) by Natsujiro Shoten to place an order.
The charm of kogin-sashi, carefully applied stitch by stitch, is its rustic yet warm expression.

This is an opportunity to experience the appeal of craftsmanship and attire in the unique atmosphere of each region.
Please stop by if you are in the area.

※HANAO SHOES are custom-made after receiving your order, so please allow approximately 2 months for delivery.

Natsujiro Shoten / Kogin embroidery artist

Kogin embroidery is a sashiko technique passed down mainly in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture. Natsujiro Shoten uses this technique to hand-sew patterns onto the fabric, stitch by stitch, to create mismatched hanao straps. Each Kogin embroidery pattern has a meaning, and each finished hanao is unique. As the patterns on the left and right hanao straps are different, you can swap them around and enjoy creating your own HANAO SHOES.
