"Tesuji shibori" is a tie-dyeing technique in which fine pleats (folds) are made in a cloth and then carefully tied with thread.

3_ Itajime Shibori

"Itajime Shibori" is a technique for creating patterns by folding cloth between two square boards (型板) and dyeing it.
By dyeing the outside of the square while preventing the dye from penetrating inside, a lattice pattern is achieved.
