The sneakers are now available in black, and the “HANAO" is now removable, making it a sleeker sneaker.
You can now customize your own pair of HANAO SHOES to suit your own style just by having one pair. The sneakers are made by MOON STAR (Kurume) and the “HANAO" are all handcrafted by Japanese craftsmen.
HANAO SHOES_KYOYUZEN (dyeing)
Okaju / Established in 1855
This HANAO is made from the fabric of haori lining dyed by Okaju, a long-established kimono dyeing company. There are 94 different techniques in Kyoyuzen, and Okaju specializes in a technique called kata-yuzen, which has been handed down for more than 100 years, with more than 300 different ‘Okaju designs’.
The textiles used are carefully selected from a wide range of patterns to create a pair that is unique to Whole Love Kyoto.
